"Just Starting the College App Process?"

I had dinner with an awesome bunch of bloggers tonight. One lovely lady has a stepdaughter one year younger than my daughter, which means she is just starting the process my daughter is about to finish. APPLYING TO COLLEGE.

We won't hear from most of the colleges to which my girl's applied for a couple of weeks yet. So I have no evidence we are any more adept at this than anyone else. But we did draw on some helpful resources.

One was an interview with the admissions director of Vanderbilt University. He offers good, straightforward advice for kids and parents. Kinda helps ease the freak out factor. And that's a good thing. To view the interview click here.

Good luck and have fun to all of you just starting out on the college application journey!

  1. I'm a new follower, I saw your video on Once Upon a Blog and just had to find out what you were all about. I came upon this, and just had to comment. I remember the first time I sent out a college application. I'm only 17 myself so it really wasn't too long ago. It did, however, create memories that would last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing. :)
